Who are we?

Meghan Sours is the artist behind 60 Minute Art and believes anyone with a desire to create is already an artist. Her aspiration is to bring every student’s artistic potential to fruition.

Meghan’s work has been exhibited internationally.

Accolades include a purchase award and recognition from the renowned Art Renewal Center and inclusion and cover art featured in “Strokes of Genius: The Best of Drawing.”

This year, she is a finalist in the Portrait Society of America’s 27th annual International Portrait Competition in Washington DC, the world’s premier exhibit for the best in portraiture.

Meghan is a representational portrait artist following the realist tradition and integrates the same methods that she teaches into her own work.

Meghan attended the Columbus College of Art and Design and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in 2008 before moving to Utah to apprentice under master artist William Whitaker until his passing in 2018. She has also studied at the Grand Central Academy in NYC and Studio Escalier in France.

She currently resides in North Carolina with her husband and daughter and is a resident artist at East Oaks Studio.
